Beyond the Meter now on Spotify
STORY BY RYAN HALL | RURAL MONTANA EDITOR
The Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association, publisher of Rural Montana, has launched a new podcast, Beyond the Meter.
The new podcast, which can be found on your favorite streaming service, including Spotify, will feature people with connections to electric cooperatives, and who have appeared in the pages of this magazine.
Episodes already include interviews with candidates for U.S. House and Senate in Montana, as well as Brandon Wittman, manager of Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative/chairman of the board for CoBank, a cooperative finance company. Andrew Don, CEO of another finance company CFC, has also appeared, as has Braxten Nielsen, a man who was paralyzed in a rodeo accident.
Future episodes include Youth Tour participants, the Montana Youth Leadership Council representative, motivational speaker Dougie Hall and a bareknuckle fighting champion from Montana, among others.
The podcasts, which average about 30 minutes long, with a few exceptions, feature Rural Montana Editor Ryan Hall sitting down with guests and having a conversation. The goal is to let listeners “eavesdrop” on that conversation.
New episodes will drop by the first of the month, each month.
